Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

I LOVE pecan pie but I also love chocolate….and booze. So this pie was freaking perfect for me. It was so damn delicious and I know each one of you will love it. Bring it to the family thanksgiving and you will be the talk of the party.

Ingredients:

1 packaged pie crust

1/2 cups pecan pieces

3 eggs

3/4 cup light corn syrup

1/8 cup Woodford Reserve Bourbon (or any bourbon of your choosing)

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

3 tbs butter (melted)

3/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Press the pie crust into a pie pan. Bake for about 8 minutes and remove from the oven.

3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, bourbon and butter.

4. Pour the chocolate chips into the bottom of the pie crust and then pour the pecan pieces on top of the chocolate chips.

5. Finally, pour the brown sugar mixture over the top of the pecans and chocolate chips.

6. Bake for 1 hour until it is firm.

7. Remove from the oven and let cool for AT LEAST 1 hour. If you do not let cool, it will not cut correctly and will be a big glob.
