Apple Cider Mule

I am not much of a whiskey girl but brown liquor is where it is at in the fall. So, I did my research and after a few trial and error recipes and I ended up really liking this one. I will admit in college I wanted to be cool to boys so I acted like I loved whiskey….I would drink it and then get sick immediately afterwards. If I could go back in time I would tell myself stop giving a shit what guys think and drink what the hell you like, either way you will end up looking like a drunk sorority hoe :)

Ingredients:

3 oz Whiskey

Fresh squeezed juice from 1 lime

2 oz Ginger Beer

2 oz Apple Cider

Optional Garnishes (cinnamon sticks, Star anise, apple slices, Lime slice, rosemary sprig)

Copper Mugs

Directions:

Pour whiskey, lime juice, ginger beer and apple cider into a shaker filled with ice. Put the lid on tight, and shake for about 30 seconds. Pour into a copper mug filled with ice and garnish with apple slices, 2 cinnamon sticks, a rosemary spring, a slice of lime and a star anise! Light the cinnamon stick on fire and let burn for 20 seconds and blow out. Drink up and get wasted! This drink is so perfect for a fall dinner party! Its so pretty and taste awesome!
