Sotol Paloma

One of my best friends brother owns a sotol company called Desert Door out of Austin, Texas. I am in LOVE with it. The liquid blue bottle, the taste, the people that own it and even the nonexistent hangover the next day. It has a smoky, smooth taste and sips better than tequila. I’m so happy to share this with you, I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Desert Door Sotol

2 oz Grapefruit Juice

2 oz Fever Tree Soda Water (or any brand, I just prefer Fever Tree)

Juice From Half a Lime

Flaked Sea Salt for the Rim of the Glass

A slice of Grapefruit, a slice of lime and chamomile flowers for garnish

Directions:

Squeeze juice onto a small plate, dip the rim of your glass into the juice and then into the salt. Fill glass with ice cubes then pour in the sotol, grapefruit juice, soda water, and lime juice. Stir well. Garnish with a grapefruit slice lime slice and chamomile flowers for a little extra touch.
