October Favorite Things
1. Jeffrey Campbell, Siren Bootie- I am obsessed with these boots. They literally go with everything and always tend to get me lots of compliments. The leather makes me feel like a slutty and dangerous women. The chunky heel makes them super comfy also! Wear them with boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans, dresses, skirts, you name it and they look good!
2. Peacock Ally, Percale Sheet set- I day dream about these sheets. This old bitch loves a good set of high thread count soft sheets. I wash them in some of the best detergent known to man, as well. Tyler Candle, High Maintenance laundry wash. Fucking delicatable. Tuesday morning also sells this brand for significantly cheaper sometimes so if you think these are too expensive definitely pop in to your local Tuesday morning and browse around!
3. Herbivore, Emerald CBD Moisture Glow- I just got back from Mexico for a wedding and I put this on everyday with my make up. It is a GAME CHANGER! It makes you look like a dewy glowing goddess that and also calms your skin from any sunburn because it is infused with CBD. Don’t put this on before you go in the sun, its more of a nighttime after the pool all day kind of product.
4. Charlotte Tilbury, Cologen Lip Bath- I got a sample of this in the mail from something else I had ordered from ole Charlotte and I fell in love with it, so I picked up a full sized one from Sephora. I also wore this everyday in Mexico with a nude lip liner and I was having to turn down boys left and right. Not really, I have a boyfriend but you get the idea…. It makes your lips look scrumptious and kissable.
5. Peanut Butter Chocolate Apples- Crunchy Granny Smith apples dipped in melted creamy peanut butter and dark chocolate then sprinkled with your favorite toppings. My favorite topping is Heath Bar pieces. They are super easy to make and an awesome treat to bring to a party!
6. Nest Fragrances, Pumpkin Chai- This isn’t your normal gross ass “fall scent”. It makes you feel cozy and warm yet classy and rich. Every time I smell that cheap shit it makes me feel like dry heaving. Also, it transports me back to East Texas standing in front of the Bath and Body works at the Longview, TX mall. Ain’t nobody got time to smell cheap.
7. Colorful Pumpkins- You can get these pumpkins from your local garden center or even at Kroger! I love to layer and stack them for more depth. Always buy a variety of colors and sizes too! It makes a world of a difference and you won’t look as basic as the other girls that just have your classic round orange pumpkin and a wreath that says “it’s fall y’all” from Hobby Lobby.
8. Stetson, Felt Cowboy Hat (Granite)- I bought this cowboy hat last year in Jackson Hole, WY and have been counting down the days for it to get cold enough to wear it. I am not much of a basic floppy or flat brimmed hat wearer so this hat is perfect for me. It looks good with a soft oversized sweater, jeans and a blue jean jacket or even a dress! Save a horse ride a cowgirl, am I right??
9. Patagonia, Nano Puff Jacket (Berlin Blue)- This jacket is perfect for Texas weather. It is light but still keeps your warm if needed for a fall day. You can also layer it and wear it under a thicker jacket if it is super cold outside. I like it because it makes me look like someone I am not, an adventurous hoe that eats granola and zero gluten and hikes in my spare time.
10. Williams Sonoma, Pumpkin Punch bowl with Glasses- Be the talk of the party with your glass pumpkin punch bowl. Williams Sonoma always comes in clutch with the unique hosting products. I will be hosting many a dinner party this year and cannot wait to bust this puppy out, fill it with a spiced cider and get all my friends shit faced.
11. Classic Gulosh with Jalapeño Cornbread- Hearty and delicious. Cheesy and flavorful. All the senses come alive while filling your tummy full of this amazing stew and spicy yet sweet cornbread. Imagine eating this next to a wood burning fire and sipping on a glass of a full body red wine. Yum yum yum.
