Garlic Parmesan Brussel Sprouts

Fun fact: In the U.S. most Brussels sprouts are grown in Northern California, Washington state, and Long Island, New York.The sulforaphane that gives Brussels sprouts their unique flavor also helps lower cancer risks. So basically, everytime you eat these bombs of deliciousness you are lowering your risk for cancer. HOW COOL!

Recipe

Garlic Parmesan Brussel Sprouts

  • 11/2 pounds fresh brussel sprouts (trimmed and halved)

  • 5 chopped garlic cloves

  • freshly grated parmesan

  • 2 tbs olive oil

  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Cut brussels in half and trim the leaves.

  3. Lay brussel sprouts evenly across baking sheet

  4. Cover the sprouts in olive oil and toss and cover all the brussel sprouts so the olive oil is distributed evenly.

  5. Sprinkle garlic,salt and pepper over all of the vegetables.

  6. bake for 17 min.

  7. Remove from oven and immediately grate the parmesan onto the brussel sprouts.

  8. Serve with my Apple Smoked Pork Loin and Whipped potatoes!
